Wild Holly Gallery – a treat for the senses
Strolling along Easy Street in downtown Carefree, the Wild Holly Gallery beckons
shoppers to come a bit closer. The steel kinetic wind sculpture turning in the
breeze captures
the attention of passersby browsing the shops.
The 6 foot Cali Lily, attracts even
the busiest of shoppers. Diego, the black and
white tuxedo cat seals the deal. He is the
gallery mascot and greets everyone at the door.
Once inside this 4700 square foot, two
story gallery, the question becomes, where
do I start?
Piece after piece the gallery is an explosion
of tastefully displayed art, representing the
art of over 90 local and nationally acclaimed artists. Paintings, dramatic sculptures
an intriguing metal wall, trickling fountains, sparkling glass, pottery and contemporary
jewelry all become a treat for the senses. Color, texture, energy surround the
art collector.
Each piece tells a story and the gallery staff welcomes the chance to share
each story and artist. Yet, meandering through the space, collectors can image
what each item represents. The look on the face of the cowgirl in one painting,
as she’s puffing on a good cigar,
seems to say, “I know what I want and I’m
going to get it. Her advice is well taken
at this eclectic gallery.
